‘Aaron was not only an incredibly accomplished drummer, admired by many for his unparalleled talent and passion for music, but he was also a devoted father to our precious son, August,’ she wrote.

She continued: ‘His love guidance, and warmth were the pillars of our family, and his absence leaves a void that words cannot describe. We are blessed to have him in our lives, his legacy will live on through the beautiful rhythms he created and the love he shared with us.’

The hitmaker shared a video to his Instagram Stories of what looked like a small club performance with Spears on drums.

In the first clip, Spears set up a grooving beat while the band’s bassist played an equally funky line as Justin took a break to slowly walk to the side of the stage to kiss Hailey.

But in the second video, Justin took over on the drum set throne, while Spears stood to his side and continued drumming alongside him on the same set.

‘We lost a beautiful man and inspiration to all of us drummers,’ Bieber wrote in his caption. ‘@aspears prayers for your family and loved ones you will be remembered and celebrated.’
