Ed Sheeran has donated almost 450 items of clothing – including pairs of worn underpants – to auction off on eBay to raise money for charity.

The singer, 32, raided his wardrobe to give the clothes to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) shop in Framlingham, Suffolk, where he grew up.

Among the items is a whopping 149 pairs of boxer shorts – half of which have been worn by the musician.

Ed’s donation comes after he startled fans last weekend after he made a surprise appearance in a local pub near Halesworth, Suffolk.

He showed up to pull pints at The Rumburgh Buck, while visiting to celebrate a friend’s birthday, during which he watched his beloved Ipswich Town play Birmingham City.

The pop star, a self-confessed football fanatic, appeared to be in high spirits as the Championship club earned a 2-2 draw.

Landlady Stella Cattermole described the star as a ‘really lovely, very polite, regular guy’, according to the BBC.

Ed was accompanied by his wife Cherry Seaborn, 31, to celebrate their pal in a low-key event.

The landlady admitted her husband – who works in the kitchen – actually ‘couldn’t believe’ he was ‘cooking for Ed Sheeran’.

The Thinking Out Loud singer has reportedly enjoyed a thrilling night out at the local pub alongside his beloved wife and pals, where he took over the games room to play pool and treated themselves with some nice food.

The owner also revealed they kept an eye on the game while playing.

‘They had a few guitars and were singing a few songs. It was all very exciting,’ she said.

Later Ed beamed for a sweet snap with Stella and another girl, posing behind the bar as he was captured pulling a pint.

And Stella admitted the pop star was very much into ales, leaving her ‘really impressed’.
