The news also comes after Killers of the Flower Moon took in $23 million at the box office in its first weekend.

After the alarm was pulled, there was no communication about the ordeal communicated to theater-goers.

Fans started emptying into the lobby, and with no information communicated, some folks apparently thought there was an active shooter, though that was not confirmed.

Eventually, a line was formed as fans flocked to Guest Services where fans were issued refunds.

Sources added that eventually every movie-goer received either a refund or a voucher for another movie, even the Taylor Swift movie, playing exclusively at AMC.

The emergency comes after Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio open up about their working relationship on Killers of the Flower Moon in a new interview.

Scorsese, 80, is teaming up with two of his most frequent collaborators – Leonardo DiCaprio, 48, and Robert De Niro, 80, who have all worked together separately but Killers of the Flower Moon marks the first time they’ve all worked in the same film together.

They all spoke with CBS Sunday Morning, where the actors and filmmaker revealed their rapport on the set.

DiCaprio revealed that De Niro and Scorsese, ‘are so incredible together. Their shorthand, the way they communicate with each other, it’s almost through sign language.’

He added that, ‘it’s incredible to watch, and when Scorsese – who recently slammed Marvel movies yet again – was told what Leo said and asked what he has with Leo, the director said they have a ‘longhand.’

Leo admitted ‘With me it’s long discussions and grinding things up, lots of rehearsals.’

The film is based on the David Grann novel of the same name, which tells the true story of the multiple murders on the Osage Nation Indian reservation in the 1920s.

‘Trying to be as truthful as possible is the only way to tell these stories,’ DiCaprio revealed in the interview.

‘We did our absolute best to listen to the Osage community. I don’t know if we did a perfect job, but they embraced us and were so incredibly helpful, so vulnerable,’ DiCaprio added.

‘You deal with Native Americans and indegenous people, you got to make sure everything we do is as authentic, as accurate, or at least is reasonably accurate from what is remembered as possible, and respectful,’ Scorsese added.

DiCaprio also praised his co-star Lily Gladstone, who is already garnering Oscar buzz for her performance, and grew up on the Blackfeet Nation reservation in Montana.

‘She brought so much not only to her character but to the entire film. She was an amazing partner to have,’ DiCaprio said of Gladstone.

Gladstone added, ‘It’s a big responsibility and it’s terrifying. It’s hard being a Native actor, having this sort of this much that you are, you can audition for. Yeah Marty showed me that it’s possible.’
